Langtang Helambu trekking is another popular trekking trail in Langtang Himalayan region. Langtang Helambu trekking offers an opportunity to explore ancient villages, a wide range of animals such as red pandas, pika, muntjac, musk deer, Himalayan black bear, Himalayan tahr, ghoral, serow, rhesus monkey and common langur, great Himalayan scenery of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishanker, Ganesh Himal, Langshisa Ri, Gangchenpo, Yala peak, Naya kanga, Annapurna Himalaya range and relaxing with Tibetian sherpa culture. Langtang Helambu trekking combines the remote and spectacular valley of Langtang, with the high mountain lake Known as Holy Gosainkund lake and Helambu valley. The region of Langtang and Helambu although easily approached from Kathmandu is far less trekked than the Annapurna or Everest region making it all the more attractive. Langtang Gosainkund Helambu trekking begins with 7 -8 hour drive to Syabru Bensi from kathmandu. Initially langtang valley trekking through a sub-tropical jungle, then a dense forest of oak, birch and pine before the valley opens out into alpine meadows and yak pastures. In the spring these high meadows are carpeted with a rich variety of alpine wild flowers also the forests are also in full bloom with rare tree orchids and the colorful rhododendron, Nepal's national flower, also a spring highlight. The Langtang forests are also well known for their wildlife, including red pandas, Himalayan black bear, wild boar and langur monkeys - you are likely to see packs of these monkeys between Syabru and Ghora Tabela. Beyond Langtang village is the summer settlement of Kyanjin with its small gompa and cheese factory. Our camp here amongst yak pastures, dominated by the fluted north west face of Kangchenpo, whilst Kyangjin Ri at 4708m provides a splendid viewpoint. The views from here are as spectacular as anywhere in the Himalaya, a 360 degree panorama of snow capped including the awesome Langtang Lirung, Pemthang Ri, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, and Kangchenpo, Tilman's fluted peak. Descending from the upper Langtang Valley, we retrace the route back to Syabru village than continue trek to Holy gosainkund lake. After crossing the Gosainkund pass 4610m, trail continue leads to the Helambu valley then we make almost a circle going through Tharapati, Tarkeghyang, sermathang to Melamchi pul bazaar than by private vehicle or by bus back to kathmandu with beautiful Himalayan scenery.
