Kailash is called Kora /Parikrama or circuit that normally takes three days and is believed to release from the sins of 100 births. A legend has it that even a beast that bears the name of Manasarovar shall go to the paradise of Brahma. This is a journey of lifetime - a pilgrimage for us all It begins and ends at Darchen, a small settlement at the mountain south base and in the process visits four monasteries crosses the high Drolma La Pass (5636m). Three days is perhaps the minimum time required to walk leisurely around the mountain: spend two nights in or near Drira Phuk and Zutrul Phuk Monasteries.
