Chulu West peak is one of the popular trekking in peak Annapurna region. Chulu west peak 6419m is situated in a little valley, which is north of Manang. This is one of the Peak can be seen from the major trail Annapurna Thorung la pass. Travelers or mountaineers should have a technical idea to climb Chulu west peak. North West Ridge is summit way. Chulu west peak climbing offer superb Himalayan views of Annapurna region , The beautiful landscape and mixed culture. March - April and September, October , November is the best season for climbing the chulu west peak. As chulu west peak popular trekking peak of Annapurna region, many travelers already climbed this peak. We Himalaya Journey Treks & Expedition operate two different option for Chulu west peak climbing , the first option will be climb the Chulu west peak climbing and continue trek to Annapurna Thorung la trekking and 2nd option will be Chulu west peak climbing and return to same way Beshi shar and back to Kathmandu.
Chulu west peak climbing commence from Beshi Sahar after 5-6 hour drive from Kathmandu. the district headquarters of Lamjung a neighboring district of Gorkha. From Beshi Sahar the trail leads up slowly to wards Manang valley, one of the highest valleys of the world situated at an altitude of 5000m. One-day rest will be set to explore the Manang Valley and for the acclimatization. From Manang valley the route heads north to lead and on to the Chulu West Base camp. Three days are set a side for the ascend of this peak and you head to Thorong-La and follow the same route come back to Katmandu as in the “Around Annapurna trek. Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel, Chulu west peak climbing briefing with officially arrangments. overnight at Kathmandu
Day 02: After breakfast ,Kathmandu by bus to Beshishar (823m)
Day 03: Beshi shar trek to Bahundanda (1310 m)
Day 04: Bahundada trek to Jagat (1314m))
Day 05: Jagat trek to Dharapani (1943m)
Day 06: Dharapani trek to Chame (2713m)
Day 07: Chame trek to Pisang (3185m)
Day 08: Pisang trek to Manang (3351 m)
Day 09: Manang acclimatizing day. During this day you can hike up to Ice Lake or Gangapurna tea shop from where you will see panoramic Himalayan views of the Mt. Manaslu 8163m, Mt. Annapurna II 7937m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Gangapurna 7455m, Tilicho peak 7134m,Pisang peak 6091m etc , back to Manang .overnight at Manang.
Day 10: Manang trek to Yak khark/Ledder (4210m)
Day 11: Yak Kharka /Ledder trek to Chulu West base camp
Day 12: Chulu west base camp trek to chulu west peak High Camp. Himalaya Journey Treks & Expedition's climbing guide will teach / short trainning about how to fixed or blay the rope while climbing the chulu west peak. overnight at Chulu west high camp.
Day 13: Early in the morning , HJT climbing sherpa will take to you Chulu west summit (6420 m) . overnight at Chulu west peak high camp
Day 14: Extra day for re summit- if incase of bad weather , our climbing guide will take to you for re-summit and back to chulu west peak base camp.
Day 15: Chulu west peak base camp trek to Thorung phedi (4500m)
Day 16: Thorung phedi (4640m)/ Thorung High camp (4800m) via Thorung La (5416m) trek to Muktinath.(3802m)
Day 17: In the morning Muktinath Temple excursion and trek jomsom (2720m)
Day 18: After breakfast, Jomsom by flight to Pokhara. Excursion around pokhara valley with own activities. overnight at Pokhara
Day 19: After breakfast, pokhara by bus or by flight back to Kathmandu. Excursion around Kathamndu valley with own activities. overnight at Pokhara
Day 20: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to for historical monuments sightseing in kathmandu valley such as Bhaktapur, Pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, Kathmandu durbar square and Monkey temple(swyambhunath) and in the evening farewell dinner in Restaurant, overnight at kathmandu in Hotel.
Day 21: After breakfast, Relaxing/shopping with own activities than, our airport reprensentative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward journey.
