| Trekking
in Pakistan is popular destination for the Traveler. The Karakoram
and Hindukush mountains of northern Pakistan have drawn mountaineers
and expeditions since their discovery by European explorers
in the late 19th century. Most trekkers visit this region
for the spectacular mountain scenery but many return for the
people they meet there. Warmth, generosity and hospitality
are what characterizes the diverse and colorful people you
will meet in the mountains of northern Pakistan.. Luxuries
as Teahouses or other infrastructure are nonexistent and a
lot of the treks are on glaciers which makes the going tough
at times. You are, however, rewarded with the most incredible
mountain scenery on the planet! Five mountains over 8000 m,
25 over 7500 m and almost 100 over 7000 m makes up the highest
concentration of high peaks anywhere. Among these magnificent
peaks we find the largest glaciers outside the polar regions.
